The Bailey Swamp area of the North Tract is closed for road repairs. It's too
bad because that was a very birdy place a year ago. What I did see during my
quick tour around Wildlife Drive:

Great Blue Heron
Canada Goose
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Pileated Woodpecker
Eastern Phoebe
White-eyed Vireo
Yellow-throated Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo (these seemed to be singing everywhere!)
Tree Swallow
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Eastern Bluebird
Wood Thrush
American Robin
Gray Catbird
Northern Mockingbird
European Starling
Northern Parula
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER
Pine Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler (easy to see near the intersection with Duval Bridge
Road flying back and forth across Wildlife Drive)
AMERICAN REDSTART
Ovenbird
Eastern Towhee
Northern Cardinal
BLUE GROSBEAK
Common Grackle
Brown-headed Cowbird
ORCHARD ORIOLE
American Goldfinch

AT home:
White-breasted Nuthatch
WOOD THRUSH (they've finally arrived)
Red-winged Blackbird
