Here is my report for the last couple of days along the Paint Branch Trail,
Lake Artemesia and the Indian Creek Trail.  I'm reporting first my complete
results from today and then additions from yesterday.  Many counts absent as
I was keeping track of species (54 seen today below campus).  Some
observations from yesterday at Lake Artemesia were with Ugo Piomelli, some
from today at Lake Artemesia and on the way to campus with Mike Ostrowski.

Canada Goose
Wood Duck
Mallard
Ruddy Duck
Turkey Vulture
Bald Eagle (Imm. over Lake Artemesia, also seen my Mike Ostrow)
Red-shouldered Hawk  (3 over UMD campus)
Killdeer
Mourning Dove
Yellow-billed Cuckoo (3 total, 1 at Lake Artemsia, 2 on the way from there
toward campus)
Chimney Swift
Belted Kingfisher
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Pileated Woodpecker
Eastern Phoebe
Great Crested Flycatcher (FOY, between L. Artemesia and )
Eastern Kingbird (nest found at L. Artemesia)
White-eyed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue Jay
American Crow
Fish Crow
Purple Martin
Tree Swallow
N. Rough-winged Swallow (pretty sure on this one, only a glimpse, but noted
white sides of tail as took off from the path at Lake Artemesia, Sibley says
"broad white undertail coverts often visible from above")

Carolina Wren
House Wren (opposite College Park Airport)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Eastern Bluebird (On top of nest box "I" at Lake Artemesia)

Cedar Waxwing (multiple flock on Indian Creek Trail)
Northern Parula (at least 3)
Yellow Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler

Scarlet Tanager (my FOY =], beautiful scarlet male)

Northern Cardinal
Indigo Bunting (several)
Red-winged Blackbird

Orchard Oriole (L. Artemsia is teeming with them).
Baltimore Oriole

Osprey (at Lake Artemesia)
Blackpoll Warbler (on UMD campus)
Brown Thrasher (FOY, near swamp on Paint Branch Trail)
Sharp-shinned Hawk (circling near 193 on PBT)
Yellow-breasted Chat (multiple along PBT, one audible from my porch this
morning!)
