The students from Kennard Elementary School poduced another win in the Youth
Division A of the World Series of Birding on Sunday. Kelley Jewell,
Michelle Long, Shannon and Kiley Pignataro and Tabitha Lansinger totaled a
remarkable 136 species for the day. Their 3 days of intense scouting really
paid off on the big day. The fall-out on Saturday also helped. For the day
they ID'ed 23 species of warbler. Unfortunately, they missed the Cerulean
Warblers that showed up at Higbees. What a great bunch of youth birders!
