It was a nice (hot) day at North Tract. I totaled 43 species including 10 species of warblers. I had hoped that the Kentucky Warbler would be singing along the river trail but I didn't hear anything; the woods are very dry. Warblers included: Parula, Worm Eating (nice look), Redstart, Hooded (saw 1 female and heard 2 males), Prairie, a very cooperative Chat, Black and White, Overbird, Louisiana Waterthrush, Yellowthoat. Other birds of note included Summer and Scarlet Tanagers, Blue Grosbeak and Orchard Oriole. I didn't keep count but my impression is that the number of Bluebirds is up there, I saw at least 12.
