Laura and I spent Saturday and Sunday in western Maryland -- Saturday in
eastern Garrett and western Allegany, and Sunday along the canal in eastern
Allegany. Details listed below. Highlights included numerous Cerulean
Warblers (most seen), 3 Virginia Rails at Finzel Swamp, J.B.'s Red-necked
Phalarope, a female Hooded Merganser with 7 young along the canal, and 2
Prothonotary Warblers in Allegany found after about 6 miles of
walking/searching.

139-140, about a mile northeast of th Fifteen Mile Creek access point in Little
