Many thanks, Mark.
I've been too busy today to report, but will add that I saw one yesterday on
Elliott Island Rd., 0.5miles past the boat ramp, on the left side of the
road in a pond with a moorhen.
If anyone's headed that way there were seaside sparrows across from the boat
ramp, then much further down, a single saltmarsh sharp-tailed sparrow on the
short grass on the left across from the triangular wooden frame that used to
hold a sign.
The barn owl left the wooden water tank by the big old abandoned house in
Elliott right at 8:52PM when he just zipped out of the ivy on the side and
disappeared into the woods.
Also a piping plover was sitting on the nest approx. 1.5 miles north of the
beach access from the Assateague State Park Youth Group Campground across
for them parking lot.
Also, also, a single red knot was left at the Skimmer Island flats.
When I left at 6:30AM the WAWA clerk told me to "Have a nice day."
So I did.
