Hello Everyone,
Did some birding at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center Queen Annes
county Saturday morning before going to the Baymusic Festival in Centreville.
Besides getting attacked ninety percent of the time by sheep flies depite
standing there showering myself with OFF bug repellant and slapping myself in
the face with my hat ,it was a good day. Could also be the reason why i had
the park to myself . Thanks for the help of a lady employee who helped me to
identify the Eastern towhee singing in the first block of woods on the road in.
Ive been hopelessly studying my bird songs and i think the more i try the
worse i get . Should have gotten that one! There were a few different
shorebirds in the pond but could only i. d. Semipalmated plover, Killdeer . Along
with 2 Osprey on the platform , 20 Snowy egret , 6 Great egret , 4Greatblue
heron, 2 Least tern, 6 Canada goose 13 gooslings. and Mockingbirds.
