Greetings,
-Took a ride out to the Airfield at Aberdeen Proving Ground to look for the
Grasshopper Sparrows (no luck). I did, however, have singing Acadian AND
Willow Flycatchers. Also Indigo Buntings, Yellow Warbler, Common
Yellowthroat, Prairie Warbler, Redstart (late?), White-eyed Vireo, Red-eyed
Vireo, Orchard Oriole, numerous E. Meadowlarks, and at least two Field
Sparrows.
The morning's most interesting find, however, came across post out on
Spesutie Island (north side near the Sany Point weather station) where I
found a stunning alternately plumed Ruddy Duck about 50 yards from shore.
Good Birding,
Chris Starling
