Observations at Hart-Miller Island

[There was limited afternoon birding due to the oppressive heat and
humidity.]

Pied-billed Grebe - 84
*BROWN PELICAN - 4 (3 1st-summer, 1 2nd-summer) We observed the Brown
Pelicans swimming, flying, and mostly standing with numerous Double-crested
Cormorants and Great Black-backed Gulls on one of the dredge material barges
tethered next to the island.  ***Birders should be looking for Brown
Pelicans at other locations in the upper Chesapeake Bay.***
