Reporting for our roving bird watcher Sean McCandless:
Asseteague ORV Zone:
Fall migration is under way with many flocks of Sanderlings (300),
Common Terns and some Caspian Terns seen heading south. Quite a few
Wimberels on hand as well as Piping Plovers. A Parasitic Jeager was
seen chasing Laughing Gulls near the beach and three Lesser Black-backed
Gulls were present. Willets were grouped in large flocks of 20 to 30.

Parke.
