No sandwich is complete without Merkle WHIB. That's right- one more White
Ibis sighting on Sunday. I didn't really eat it though.

I got a couple grainy far-off photos while shooting the breeze with Kevin
Graff and Joel Martin. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattyfioner/
Accompanying the Ibis were a couple of Little Blue Herons, Great Egret, a
Great Blue Heron and a dump truck load of Canada Geese.

There were several Grasshopper Sparrows buzzing from the inside of the
circle drive.

After exhausting the fun out of watching the superstar sift through mud for
45 minutes, I drove the Critical Area Driving Tour (CADT). Not much
interesting, the river was pretty empty. I did spot six terns I couldn't
identify- smaller than Caspians & Royals, larger than Least. At least I know
they weren't "seagulls."
