Lake Needwood, Needwood Road, Montgomery County, 21 Jul 07, 0800-0900

Between the water level drawdown resulting from the ongoing
fortification of the damn and the recent drought, the lake's shoreline
has greatly receded exposing acres of mudflats.  Waders and shorebirds
are in evidence to include:

Great Blue Heron
Great Egret
Green Heron
Black-crowned Night-Heron (2 adults)
Killdeer
Solitary Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
