I did Kayak a couple of hours on a real high tide this evening in the Elkton Marsh. Sandpipers were having trouble finding places to land. No mud flats. But they did manage to land on a few logs and find some shallow spots to pic thru. The tide was heading out thou and there was some mud exposed way up in a very shallow cove right before dark.
I had a run in with a beaver, which does happen out there. There are great numbers of them and I am visiting there home. I accidentally trapped him up a very narrow feeder stream and I think we scared the s... out of each other. He slammed into my kayak and I slammed into him. Needless to say. I got wet and he got his creek back.
I also ran into 2 muskrats who where um, frisky should I say with each other. They paid no attention to me what so ever and went on with there business. It was kind of funny watching them swimming all around me in and out of the grasses and such. No moment is to private for me. I have pictures. Ha. But they weren't to clear. Still it was entertaining.
