Sorry for the slightly off-topic post. This fall I'll be traveling to
conferences in Augsburg, Germany; Vienna, Austria; and Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil. For the first two, I'll just be birding with a free hour here and
there, in Brazil I hope to do a half- or full-day tour. If anyone has been
to these places and has info they'd be willing to share, I'd be delighted.
Thanks!!
I'm particularly interested in Field Guides. Derek Richardson gave a strong
recommendation for "Birds of Europe" by Killian, et al. I understand that
Kevin Zimmer and Andrew Whittaker (both of Victor Emanual tours) are
producing a new Field Guide for Brazil, but it appears that this won't be
available until 2009. So anyone who has field guide recommendations for
down there, I'm all ears! :)
Thanks in advance for your help!
Good Birding,
Ryan Farrell
