I too was in Chincoteague recently, this past weekend to be exact.  I wasn't 
birding to any greater extent (family vacation), but I did see a few Sandwich 
Terns in the same pool.  But your post has allowed me to tell of a bumper 
sticker that gave me a mild chuckle.  It shows again that locals and local 
wildlife can be at odds; and then we roll into town!!  Beware!  The bumper 
sticker read; "Piping Plover: The Other White Meat".
