Hi Pete,
I have a late blooming hosta (in bloom now) which the hummers, or one in
particular, seem to like. I watched a few days ago as a young male sipped
nectar from it, then perched on the flower stalks. He alternated between these two
activities most of the afternoon. Now I can spot him regularly because he
also perches on the thin wire from a hanging flower basket in the garden. He is
a very aggressive bird, driving off even the adult male in the yard.

Fill your feeders folks,
