With the various reports of Buff-breasted Sandpipers
coming in from the region, a coworker and I thought
we'd give it a whirl at lunch. There are several sod
farms along Muddy Creek Rd. south of Rt. 258.
Unfortunately, there were no shorebirds of any kind,
not even Killdeer!
As a consolation, we stopped at the SERC pier on the
Rhode River. There were 6 Forster's Terns, one Royal
Tern, 10 Laughing Gulls and 4 Mallards. Whoo hoo.
