Hello all. I just got done down loading my photos from the Susquehanna Flats. I kayaked out from Perryville Town Park. That was impressive. The water was so clean and clear. The grasses were awesome. I saw every species of fish. The water visibility in the grasses out on the flats was easily 6 ft deep. Many Black Terns were working the close edge of the grass near the point when I got out there. I was at times surrounded by them and then it was like they just disappeared, then to only reappear again. They are so buoyant in flight and at times sneaky. They would come up on me dipping at the water and out of no where just turn abruptly to zip off. I did get some nice photos if anyone is interested.
At one time I had 18 to the right of me over toward Havre de Grace and in front of me a flock of 5, and way out to the left I had another 5 scattered birds which were over near Carpenters Point.
So yesterday I got the Cecil Lifer and today I got the Photo Cecil Lifer.
There were lots of Caspian Terns, Forsters, a couple Least's. Tons of Eagles and Ospreys feeding all around me. I Did get 5 Blue-winged Teal flying South out of Furnace Bay down thru the bay. I also had a couple of Yellow Warblers at the point, about 10 Kingbirds. John Taylor was there and gave me direction to a Least Flycatcher that was actively feeding.
Bye for now.
