Hi Folks,

When we went to see the avocet in North Beach, Calvert Co., this morning,
Elaine and I also found a juvenile YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT HERON in the marsh
next to the main road that passes the "pink palace" (multi-storied pink
hotel) between Chesapeake Beach and North Beach. I had to check my photos
this evening to make sure I had the correct ID.

In addition to the Am. Avocet at the North Beach marsh, other shorebirds we
saw there were Solitary, Greater Legs, Least, Western, Semi. Sand, and Semi
Plovers, and of course Killdeer.
