Regarding the CONN (pro's for Conn):
As I was about to get into my car, parked on the left from the
building, I noticed a pale yellow bird with a white eye ring, a longer
than average neck and a light gray head on the ground under some trees
at the edge of the parking lot. It flew up to a branch no more than 2'
off the ground. The bird stood still for more than a moment offering a
prolonged view, and then returned to the leafy ground (somewhat
hidden) to resume foraging. The bird had a thrush-like look about it
through the neck line and head. The general look and behavior of the
bird was consistent with the Connecticut.

As I know this is not a regular for this neck of the woods, I
encourage someone to check my work. At worst, you'll have a lovely
place to hike for an hour.

While visiting schools, I also drove by North Beach Marsh. AMERICAN
AVOCET was offering great views as of 8 AM this morning.

Good Birding,
