I walked the Bollinger Mill Road trail in the Liberty Watershed this morning for about two and a half hours. For most of the walk the falling acorns were making more noise than the birds before I finally hit a flock of migrant warblers. Today's tally included:
Bald Eagle 1 immature
Pewee 2 heard only
Red-eyed Vireo 2
Red-breasted Nuthatch 6
Catbird 2
Magnolia Warbler 3
Black-throated Green Warbler 2
Black-&-white Warbler 1
Redstart 1 adult male
Scarlet Tanager 2
