This morning (8:00 - 9:45 AM) at Middle Patuxent EA the resident
birds were very active but there seemed to be few migrants. The
best bird was a PHILADELPHIA VIREO, foraging in a Black Walnut.
Also, I finally found my first-of-year RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH.
Other highlights were 6 warbler species (Magnolia, Redstart,
Nashville, Black-and-White, Chestnut-sided, Yellowthroat - nothing
"new") and an Osprey - presumably migrating, riding a thermal with
several Turkey Vultures.
