Went to the lake yesterday and today. Migrant activity was very slow.
I did have a MERLIN buzz across the lake yesterday. 2 GREAT EGRETS, ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, BALTIMORE ORIOLE but hardly a warbler!
This morning had a few more birds. 2 CASPIAN TERNS fished the lake. A PRAIRIE,MAGNOLIA, BLACK AND WHITES (3) REDSTARTS (2)and YELLOWTHROAT.
The best bird was a PERIGRINE FALCON that joined into a small flurry of raptor activity at 10. Mainly BROAD-WINGS (12) with a few accipters and vultures.
