Greetings,

This afternoon I spent a half hour checking out a large-ish storm water pond
in the back of a business park off of US 40 near the Delaware line in Cecil
County (Elkton, MD).

To my delight, I found 8 Killdeer, 2 Least Sandpipers, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1
Solitary Sandpiper, 1 Great Egret, 1 Snowy Egret, and 1 Green Heron.

Other birds of interest included 3 'brown' Indigo Buntings, a lone Am.
Goldfinch, 600+ Grackles (in various stages of tail-molt), 2 Mourning Doves,
and 50+ Swallow sp; the vast majority being Tree Swallows...

Oh, one Ring-billed Gull also....

Good birding,
Chris Starling
