I had a pleasant walk at Lake Artemesia in College Park
this morning (8:15 - 10:30). Besides the usual suspects,
the noteworthy birds included the following:

Great Blue Heron - 1
Wood Duck - 2 males, 1 female
Killdeer - 6
Belted Kingfisher - 1 male
Pileated Woodpecker - 1 female (along entrance road)
Eastern Phoebe - 2
Brown Thrasher - 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 2
Palm Warbler - 8 to 10 (east end of peninsula)
Common Yellowthroat - 4+
SAVANNAH SPARROW - 1 (along RR tracks)

At the eastern end of the lake, I saw a large flock of robins and
starlings stuffing themselves on the abundant pokeberry and
wild grape.
