Up until last week, I haven't heard an owl around my condo since townhouses
and a high-rise were built nearly 20 years ago, considerably reducing the
adjoining woods.
Last week I heard a Great Horned Owl. Around 3:30 this morning a Barred Owl
was repeatedly cooking until a pair of GHOs started hooting. The Barred Owl
shut up (wise owl).
I don't think I'm sleeping differently - always hear the fox when he comes
by - so I guess the owls are a new and welcome (to me anyway) addition.

Just had a Black-throated Green warbler visit the balcony.
