Greetings all,
The Kent County Bird Club will be trekking to Cecil County on Saturday,
6 October to bird at Elk Neck and Turkey Point. Fall migrant songbirds
are still passing through in good numbers and this is the peak season to
intercept accipiters and falcons on their journey south. This past
Sunday (30 September) there were still good numbers of butterflies on
Turkey Point, for those who would like to practice their skills on
non-feathered gems.
Kent County participants will meet at 8:00 AM in the Dollar General
parking lot off of Philosopher's Terrace in downtown Chestertown. Others
may join us at the Turkey Point parking area at the south end of Elk
Neck at about 9:30 AM for the walk to the hawk watch and lighthouse.
Bring your lunch, wear good walking shoes, and plan to make a day of it.
Please contact us (below) for any further information.
We hope to see you there,
