Hi Everyone,

I am with Jim and George. I routinely donate my photos to conservation
causes, but the demands of this effort are the worst I've encountered. Of
course we have the right to not participate, but I'm adding my voice here
because I'm passionate about the book's subject matter, Maryland birds. As
George summarized, the rules of the so-called contest place an unnecessary
burden on the generous contributors, which will translate to reduced
cooperation and lower quality. This bothers me because I strongly support
the Atlas and local conservation efforts. I will not be submitting any
photos for this project as it stands.
