My son (Jim the Younger) just sent me a phone pix of a Sora that he found in
Washington, D.C. Nothing extrordinary ... except ... he found it searching
for food on E Street, casually walking among the parked cars and on the
sidewalk. He said that he followed along for a while to see if it was
injured but he could see no signs of distress. He added that if someone got
too close while trying to get a better look, that the bird would run under a
nearby parked car and then emerge on the other end.
You never know where you are going to find nature.
