I drove over to Schoolhouse Pond this morning to get a look at Trumpeter Swan 962. The bird provides terrific looks and was swimming with a Mute Swan which makes a good comparison. There where large flocks of Black Vultures (I counted 18) circling in nearby thermals as well as a large flock of gulls soaring high over the pond. The only other interesting sighting was a GRAY CHEEKED THRUSH which flushed out of the scrub about mid way around the path.
