Hi All,
The Kentish Plovers will be sitting again at the end of the Tubby Cove
Boardwalk on Sunday 14 October. We will be using the open tower next to
the blind at the end of the trail to scan the skies, the pines and oaks,
the marsh, and the waters of Tubby and Calfpasture coves, Eastern Neck
Narrows, and to the horizon over on the Bay for anything that flies,
swims, hops, or calls. We logged 64 species last year and hope for more
this year. Walter Ellison and Nancy Martin plan on arriving before 7:00
AM (we're aiming for 6:30) and we plan on being there until at least
mid-afternoon unless diminishing returns diminish awfully rapidly. Come
keep us company through the long hours of immobility. Bring a portable
lawn chair, snack food, some optics, guide books, a sense of humor, a
pair of sharp eyes and some good ears.
Good birding,
Walter Ellison & Nancy Martin
