I didn't have any time for birding today but still did well at home and at the park.
While standing out in my "yard" (30 feet of concrete), which is 1 block north of the park, a Cooper's Hawk and an adult Peregrine flew over. The Peregrine drifted east and then 5 minutes later drifted back over again going west.
Then I took a run through the park and flushed an adult sora from under the boardwalk into the patch of cat-tails that is still green. It walked around for a few seconds and gave good looks at close range. There were also a few song and swamp sparrows feeding on the wet exposed mud by the pond so it could be worth a look tomorrow morning.
