MD Osprey:

FYI. These two species were reported in Maryland this weekend. Here's
their status in Maryland:

Fork-tailed Flycatcher: There are two previous Maryland records:

23 Sep 1983, Sandy Point State Park, Anne Arundel County,
MD. A well documented sight record.

22-23 Sep 1997, Chaptico, St, Mary's County, MD. Extensively
photographed.

Calliope Hummingbird. There are two previous Maryland reports/records:

         11 Nov - 18 Dec 2004, Laurel, Prince George's County, MD.
Banded and photographed.

         06 -10 Dec 2006, Forman's Branch Bird Observatory (formerly
Chino Farms), Queen Anne's County, MD. Banded, photographed, and
collected (after it died). The specimen is now in the Smithsonian.
The committee is waiting for the Smithsonian to finish preparing the
specimen before we conduct a formal review.

Hope this helps ...

Phil
