Last March I saw a bird that looked very much like a Coopers Hawk but was very pale, with mostly tan back and upper wings. Now I see that in the Peterson series Hawks of North America by Clark & Wheeler, 2nd edition, re Coopers Hawk "Dilute plumage specimens have creamy or cafe-au-lait... upperparts."
Anyone have expeience with such individuals in this area?
