For those of you who still wonder about the legitimacy of splitting the
Nearctic Wilson's Snipe from the Palearctic Common Snipe, here's a British
link showing excellent photos of a direct comparison of a vagrant Wilson's
Snipe  (perhaps the first legitimate record for Europe?) and regular
Common Snipes. The differences are striking!
