Hola,

I'm doing the time warp again. Anyway, Paul Pisano
and I birded somewhat hopefully in DC this morning,
looking for storm birds. Highlights

Baird's Sandpiper, 1, East Potomac Park, on the golf
course near Buckeye Drive, at around 8 am

Dunlin, 1, same place as Baird's, but about 3 hours
later

Surf Scoter, 1 juvenile-y, Georgetown Reservoir, at
around 9 or 9:30 am

American Pipit, 6-8, flying from the direction of
Arlington over DC waters and then into Alexandria
airspace at Daingerfield Island Marina.

Errands took me north, into Maryland, and then I
followed up a Pennsylvania report from near
Shippensburg, and saw and heard at least 57 American
Golden-Plovers along with 3 or 4 Dunlins.

It's just a jump to the left,

Rob Hilton
