Today was a very delightful morning at Layhill park.
Lots of sparrows - mostly whitethroats but also song,
swamp and field seen in relative abundance plus a few
junco. The highlight was a blue-headed vireo seen at
almost arm's length in a bare leafed tree.
other birds seen included coopers and redshoulder
hawk, kingfisher, swainson thrush, golden crowned
kinglets, winter wren, blue jays, blue birds, and
goldfinchs.
