Ellen here (not Tim, though I can't even figure out how to turn the camera
ON!!!). Sorry to be late to the party, but I tend not to read birding lists
on a regular basis, since it just hurts to know about all the great birds I
don't have time to see. But since I had a bit of business to conduct here
yesterday, I indulged myself in getting caught up with older messages,
figuring that those birds are probably gone now anyway.

So I saw the notice about the photo contest, and as it happens, Tim is
driving me crazy with this camera thing, and I figured I may as well direct
him into some productive activity. 

I couldn't help but notice some concern about the manner of submission, and
I have a suggestion that will save everyone time, money, and materials. 

Why not set up a PICASSA site where people can upload the photos? The other
advantage is that then everyone can see them and enjoy them.
