Today at Fort Smallwood Park there were 3 Long-tailed ducks offshore and 6 Hooded Mergansers on the pond.  At this late date, there were also 6 species of butterflies:  Cabbage White, Orange Sulphur, Monarch, Common Buckeye, Mourning Cloak, and Variegated Fritillary.
