Hi all --

A drive around Hains Point DC yielded a good variety of raptors and some interesting ducks:

Red-shouldered Hawk 1
Red-tailed Hawk 1 (seen by another birder)
Bald Eagle (1, adult)
Cooper's Hawk (1)
MERLIN (3! perched on Golf Course)
Peregrine (1, on 14th street bridge)
GREATER SCAUP (1, in with Mallards)
SURF SCOTER (2, distant, off point and 2/3 way to VA shore)

Anacostia Park was pretty quiet except for the crowd looking at the wrecked CSX freight cars off the railroad bridge:

Red-shouldered Hawk (1)
Cooper's Hawk (1)
Ruddy Duck (1)
Laughing Gull (5)

A flock of over 40 Goldfinches and NO Siskin!
Lots of Cormorants off the Navy Yard. A few Canada Geese but no Cackling Goose.
