I got out of work early today and with the miserable weather I decided to do a Caroline County waterfowl run. Best bird was a Gadwall feeding with Black Ducks on the Caroline County side of the Choptank River across from Kingston Landing. Choptank had a flock of Bonaparte's Gulls feeding in the tri-county gray zone (Dorchester, Talbot, Caroline all meet in the Choptank River south of the town of Choptank). Willston Lake had Ruddy Ducks and a Bufflehead. Denton Sewage Ponds held Ring-necked Ducks, 2 Buffleheads, and Ruddy Ducks. The western most pond on Rt 309 (QA County) held 7 Tundra Swans.
