Another Coot eater story ... last fall at the Cape May Hawkwatch site by 
Bunker Pond, a Greater Black Backed Gull started eating the Coots on the 
Pond.  I watched one day as he (she?) started to stalk a Coot but I did not 
stay for the final kill.  I was told that the Gull was making a meal of 
Coots on a regular basis.
