I decided to look for beach birds this morning while the turkey was cooking. There was not much variety on the beach at Sandy Point but a few interesting things.
Turkey Vulture 4, scavenging with the gulls
Laughing Gull 250
Ring-billed Gull 50
Herring Gull 100
LESSER BLACK-BACK 1 adult
Great Black-back 60
SNOW BUNTING 6, flew past me before heading over the bay, returning a half hour later to the grassy picnic area next to the parking lot at the point.
Not much else on the bay, just 20 Buffleheads and 3 DC Cormorants.
