Dear Debbie and Bob,

A fantastic morning at the southern North Point park (no fee area). Perfect conditions for SOMETHING moving south (clear, strong NW winds). Spent a good part of the mid and late morning standing on the new pier that points out south from the tip of the point. An amazingly late (in the year) hawk flight: 12 red-tails, 3 harriers, 12 sharp-shinned, 3 Coopers, merlin, 4 turkey vultures......and a CAVE SWALLOW!!! I was standing with my camera around my neck, hoping for a swallow to pass by over the water at eye level, but the swallow was above the trees, and I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't had my binocs on several sharpies flying by! I haven't signed on to Md. Osprey, so if you want to post this message, it's fine with me. Hopefully someone else will have seen cave swallows on this perfect day!

Best

Hank
