Useful item lifted from the Maine listserv--- and it even references a
former MD birder!

Hello Maine Birders:

Marshall Iliff’s talk on eBird at Maine Audubon last night was very
informative and he had a couple of suggestions for webpages to address
this issue. Both of these webpages are simple, fun and easy to use.

If you walk/bike/drive a certain route and need to figure out the
distance covered check out:

If you want to find out the area of a park, cemetery, sanctuary, lake,
etc. go to:

http://www.acme.com/planimeter/
