Good grief, it took an early snowfall, but I finally have my life
Pine Siskin at our thistle
feeder! He managed to hold his own against an aggressive Junco, too.
I also saw a titmouse steal a big sunflower seed from a Red-breasted
Nuthatch. The nuthatch
was upside-down on a tree trunk, pounding away at the seed, but it
was too close to a small branch,
and the titmouse just landed, reached down and grabbed the seed.
