I was at Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro this AM to check on the
gulls reported y'day by Fred Shaffer. Among the ~80 Herring and
Ring-bills, the Iceland Gull stood out. There was also a lone Laughing
Gull. But I did not see the mystery gull as also described. While still
searching thru the flock, all got up as a Bald Eagle passed by, and only
a fraction settled back down.
Rounding out the pond denizens were 5 Gadwalls and a single Ring-necked
Duck among the usual Mallards and swans.
