HI all,


   Sorry for the delay. Had to chase the crossbill
again this week to get a state bird. Finally found it
this time after miss it 10 years ago during the
invasion in MD. Had both crossbills in DE during the
same time MD had. I was in DE at that time taking care
of my grandfather. At mid-afternoon, It was seen with
17 house finches. Full list to come up. 


John Dennehy and I saw a Common Redpoll flew off the
top of pine tree at Loch Raven Skeet & Trap Club this
morning.   He first heard its calls though sounds
similar to goldfinch. I looks up and notice faded red
chest and cap and all pale underneath. It quickly flew
off into the pine forests before Joan could see it.
It's my 2nd Baltimore record, first in my old yard at
the feeders in the city back in Feb 1996 after the
blizzard. Loch Raven list to come up.
