At the Ten Mile Creek area of Black Hills Regional Park this afternoon, 8 Tundra
Swans, about 18 Canvasback, 30 or so Bufflehead, and a similar number of
Ruddy Duck, about 50 Ring-necked Duck, several American Widgeon, more
than 50 Canada Goose and where the creek enters the lake, many Mallards.
At the boat launch, about 20 Bufflehead-in the cove near the road, many
Coot, Ring-necked Duck, Ruddy Duck and in the distance almost countless
Canada Goose. Joining the two Graylag barnyard Geese was a new -to me- all
white domestic goose.
