I have posted two of Mark Linardi's pictures (in reduced size) of the 
Northern Shrike at Cromwell Valley at the following URL's. The light 
breast scaling is more evident in the pictures than in life. Also the 
white over the black mask does not show as well as in life.

I made a diagram showing the approximate circuit the shrike was 
following. The big bush where we saw it close up and suspect might be 
its larder was around the top right corner of the yellow box.

Unfortunately, I have heard that it was not seen again after about 1 
PM.
